King of The Jungle is the full-length debut album from Clawman, the alter ego of producer, David Rogers-Berry. Originally from South Carolina, DRB has slummed the underside of the NYC / Brooklyn music scene for over a decade, mostly as a drummer and founder of folk-goth weirdos, o’death, and in more recent years playing, writing, and producing music with Hungry March Band, The Icebergs, and other local projects. King of The Jungle finds Clawman spreading out between heady instrumental passages, lo-fi pop hooks, and studio experiments. The album is held together with field recorded and found sound collages and lyrics that range from ruminations on kinky sex “(Don’t) Call Us,” to social intolerance “Open Letter,” and the challenges of walking away from death’s bed, “Light A Candle.”

Clawman is the production handle of David Rogers-Berry. A drummer by trade, DRB, started Imaginator Records in 2016 as an outlet for the many projects he records and performs with.
He released his first record as Clawman in 2013 via Ernest Jenning Record Co. That release was a 4-song EP called Tillson Tapes, pressed on 7″ vinyl records as a limited edition of 300.
In fall 2016, Clawman released his first long playing album, King of The Jungle, on his own label imprint, Imaginator Records.
